Associations between periodontitis and Covid-19 complications

According to a research, carried out in Qatar by Qatari, Canadian, and Spanish researchers, Covid-19 patients with periodontitis had 3.5 times the likelihood of being admitted to intensive care, 4.5 times the likelihood of needing a ventilator, and nearly nine times the likelihood of dying compared to those without the gum disease.

This encourages people to take good care of their oral health because it’s crucial for their general health.
